Popular Skitmaker Samuel Animashaun Perry aka Broda Shaggi has pleaded with African fathers to imbibe the culture of hugging their children.

According to the Funnyman, regular affectionate expressions from fathers play a significant role in the lives of their kids.

He said: “African fathers please hug your children! Love them ….it matters a lot! No be when pikin won enter University, you go give am first hug.”

Broda Shaggi added, “I definitely will want my future kids to say “daddy I love you” every time they wake up. I can’t wait to draw them so close to my heart that they will hear every beat coming from my heart. Normalize telling your kids how much you love them.”

His words are coming moments after Nigerian actor IK Ogbonna advised his fans on how best to treat their parents.

On his Instagram story on Tuesday, the movie star shared a post where he told netizens to make sure to honour their parents.

According to IK, people need to always respect and honour their parents. The movie star did not stop there, he went ahead to give his reasons.

The Nollywood star explained that many parents are not where they are meant to be because they sacrificed their personal growth for their children.

On a final note, the actor added that it’s time for their children to pay them back.

In his words: “Dear bros/ sis, Respect and honour your parents always. Many parents are not where they are meant to be coz they sacrificed their personal growth for yours. It’s time to pay them back.”
