Nollywood actress, Chioma Akpotha, was assaulted at her voting location in Lagos’ Eti-Osa LGA.

In an Instagram post, the movie star sobbed during a live update about her voting district at the Ikota elementary school.

The actress stated that when thugs reportedly interfered with the poll in her unit, she had already arrived to cast her ballot.

According to Apkotha, a fellow female patron at the event assaulted and beat her.

She added that no representatives from the security services were present at the voting location.

A rapper and actor, Falz and other voters in Ikate, Lekki, were also attacked at their polling places and had their phones stolen by political thugs.

The goons tore the ballot papers and threw them around.

He announced that his phone has been returned to him in an Instagram post.

But he withheld certain information regarding the attack.

In addition, Falz assured supporters that he is alright and thanked them for their worry.

Four of the 18 presidential candidates are now leading the electoral race.

They consist of Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party.
