Disrespect: You reap what you sow – Yeni Kuti tells actress, Foluke Daramola

*Recalls when Foluke disrespected her many years ago

Dancer and TV personality, Yeni Kuti, has reacted to the viral video of actress Foluke Daramola-Salako berating Nigerian youths for insulting their elders on social media.

Recall that the actress, in a video posted on Tuesday, March 28, chided young ones for their lack of respect for older ones on social media, when she said the ‘’new habit of young people insulting older ones on social media is pandemic many people are ignoring.” She added that in the next five years, children will start beating up their parents if things are not addressed now.

Reacting to Foluke’s video while speaking on a program on TVC on Wednesday, Yeni Kuti recollected how she and Foluke worked on a job together many years ago, and how Foluke disrespected her. She said Foluke may have forgotten, but she (Yeni) hasn’t because she was on the receiving end.

Yeni, while berating youths for their ill manners on social media, however, submitted that people reap what they sow.

‘’Foluke Daramola. I like her. She is everything. I talk to her but I remember when she insulted me because I just googled her now. She is forty-five, and I am sixty-two. We did a job (together). This is about thirty-something years ago. I was only doing what they asked me to do. I didn’t take money for the job. But the enmity I got from her was terrible. I am wondering if she remembers because I remember because it was done to me. Now she is demanding respect. You reap what you sow Karma is a leveller” she said.
