Female Influencers Cashing Out

International Womens Day celebrated annually on March 8 is an important event where achievements of women in their social, economic, cultural, and political spheres are hailed, acknowledged and appreciated the world over.

This years edition was celebrated under the theme DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality. From the earliest days of computing to the present age of virtual reality and artificial intelligence, women have made untold contributions to the digital world in which we increasingly live.


Their accomplishments have been against all odds, in a field that has historically neither welcomed nor appreciated them. Yet, these women stood strong and continued making a huge difference in their respective technology-related fields.


On that note, Allure lists 6 top female social media Influencers who embraced the use of technology to enhance their crafts and make a difference in a male dominated world.Eneje

Diana Eneje

Young, and making it!
Diana Chioma Eneje is a fast-rising entrepreneur and lifestyle influencer. She is breaking barriers with the massive use of technology to hone her crafts. Eneje keeps winning year after year, exploring great heights in the social, commercial and entertainment industry, being endorsEd by big brands, and sitting as CEO of her brands; The Shine Cartel and Aqua Liner collections.
In 2017, she was nominated and awarded by the Nigerian Teens Choice Awards as the Most Fashionable Female, and in 2018, she was nominated and awarded for a second time as the Most Influential Female Personality on social media.
Her now verified Instagram page, which was activated in 2014, has gathered over 900,000 followers. This has brought a good number of endorsement deals her way.
Although she was born in Lagos State, she originally hails from Delta State. She started her modelling career at 14, and has since grown into one of the leading social media influencers in the country. She aspires to be a Nollywood actress and has indicated her interest in a series of captions on some of her Instagram posts.

Laura Ikeji: Steadily making money on Instagram
Laura Ikeji is the younger sister of former model-turned blogger and business mogul, Linda Ikeji. Over the years, with the emergence of Technology, Laura has risen to the public eye due to her own personal and business engagements on social media; influencing local and international brands. While she has been a public figure for a long time, starring as one of the casts of the Real Housewives of Lagos, brought her even more fame and attention.
Currently, Laura Ikeji is the owner of a fashion outlet in Lekki, Lagos, called Laura Ikeji Gang Store. She has also written a book titled How To Make Money On Instagram. With 3 million followers on Instagram, continuously does her influencing work, manages her business and works as a brand ambassador for various brands.
Married to Christopher Ogbonna Kanu, a retired Nigerian footballer who played for the Super Eagles, Laura Ikeji is blessed with two beautiful children.

Making difference with Technology

The vision is a world where everyone can breathe easily. Aisha is a 2022 MIT Solver who has consulted with multiple global health companies implementing solutions in Africa, including the UNICEF Innovation lab.

Taaooma: Breaking Barriers


Maryam Apaokagi, popularly known as Taaooma, is another Nigerian entertainer who has taken good advantage of technology to make an impact in her life and that of many young women out there.
With over 4.4 million followers on Instagram, she stands tall as a social media influencer, content creator, and cinematographer.
Taaoomas contents and skits are based on African parents and how tcinematography firm, Taaooma is also the CEO of a food company called Chop Tao.

Toke Makinwa
Jack of all trades
Toke Makinwa can easily be described as jack of all trade but master of all. Shes a television host, vlogger, lifestyle entrepreneur, brand influencer, and author.
Feeling unfulfilled in her career in the banking industry, Toke Makinwa decided to take a leap of faith and begin a career in the media and business world.
Shes now the owner of three different businesses: TM Luxury a leather goods company; TM Beauty, a beauty brand; and The Toke Makinwa Brand, a lifestyle brand.
Toke does so much because she didnt want to be just another media personality; she wanted to do more for herself and others.
With over 5.4 million followers on Instagram, this amazing star whose outspoken personality has endeared her to many, is one creative influencer that has paid her dues on and off social media.

Anita Natacha Akide: Queen of Titans


Anita Natacha Akide better known Tacha is an Instagram influencer, vlogger cum reality TV star, and entertainer. Her hard work and consistency has earned her ona place on list of top most creative female influencers in Nigeria, who tapped into technology to better their lives.
As the only housemate of the Big Brother Naija season 4 (Pepper Dem Gang edition) who was disqualified, Tacha didnt stay down. She rose to become an influential and hardworking celebrity, by carving a niche for herself in the entertainment industry.
Her strong, bold and quite outspoken personality made her stand out, and today, she has become a source of inspiration to many young girls. In the influencing world, the Queen of Titans, as she calls herself is one to contend with because shes good at what she does!
