My background didn’t prepare me for fame – Phyna

Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has publicly apologized to her fans and Nigerians for her excessive outbursts on social media.

The reality TV star made this known in a trending video on social media, where she begged for forgiveness for her past behavior.

Phyna revealed that her upbringing and background did not prepare her for the sudden fame and wealth that came with winning the show six months ago.

She expressed remorse for her actions and claimed to have gone through a lot of training to improve her behavior.

She said; “I’m really sorry if I have offended a lot of people for the past six months. I have gone through a lot of training on how to be now. Because I believe you should understand that someone with a background such as mine, who gains fame and money all of a sudden, will need time. So I have gotten six months, the past six months is not a period that I will say I’m proud of.”

Phyna went on to plead with her followers and Nigerians to accept her faults and revealed that she has gained a lot of experience as a celebrity in the past six months.

She added; “I want to plead with everyone to understand that I am human and I make mistakes. I am not perfect, but I am willing to learn and grow. I have gained a lot of experience in the past six months, and I promise to use this experience to become a better person.”
