American singer, Chris Brown expresses love for afrobeats
Grammy award-winning American singer, Chris Brown, has expressed his love for Afrobeat music in a recent episode of the Million Dollarz Worth Of Game podcast.
The “New Flame” crooner explained that he admires how the genre is growing and gaining recognition worldwide.
Brown also revealed that he collaborated with Nigerian superstar Wizkid on a song that added an Afrobeat touch to his album.
The singer has previously worked with other Nigerian artists such as Davido, Rema, Fireboy, and Lojay.
“I love how the genre is blossoming and all the recognition is dope,” Brown said during the podcast. He further added that when he’s not playing his own music, he listens to Afrobeats.
Brown’s love for Afrobeat music has earned him the Best International Act award at the 2022 Headies Awards in Nigeria. The award recognizes non-Nigerian artists who have made a significant impact on the African music industry.
With collaborations with some of the biggest names in Nigerian music and an appreciation for the genre, Chris Brown’s influence on Afrobeat music continues to grow.
