Veteran Nollywood actress Ireti Doyle on Wednesday May 3 marked her 56th birthday on a movie set.

She took to Instagram to express her undiluted joy as she marked the beginning of a new year.  

“Na my birthday oo…see where @aycomedian put me!!! It is well… Another 365 round the sun. He has been faithful and has done all things well!!!” She said in an Instagram post.

The actress is currently filming at the location of comedian and filmmaker, AY Makun’s popular action comedy movie ‘Merry Men 3’.

A few months ago, Ireti who was formerly married to Patrick Doyle tendered apology to her fans over her crashed marriage

Ireti apologised to them for shattering their image of love and a perfect couple. 

She however, hinted that her life isn’t an animation; to be sacrificed at the altar of fans imagination or fantasy.

“I’m sorry if I contributed to shattering your image of love and perfect couple. But my life is not an animation; I cannot sacrifice my life at the alter of your imagination or your fantasy. So, if I hurt anybody I’m sorry but I had to choose me.

If it (the marriage) was a picture, a pretty picture and there was a wide lacuna between the picture and reality”.

On why has maintained the surname ‘Doyle’ despite the marriage crash, Ireti said, “Ireti Doyle” is a name that is nearly 30 years in the making. It’s my mine.”
