Saint Obi family speaks, disassociates self from Zulu Okafor’s article
The family of late Nollywood actor, Obinna Nwafor popularly known as Saint Obi has described the write-up authored by veteran actor and movie producer, Zik Zulu Okafor “as sad and most unfortunate.”
They stated that the article was neither written in consultation with any member of the family nor authored with their consent or authority. We totally disassociate ourselves from it.
In a statement jointly signed by Ugoeze Edith Chinyere Obichuku, Mrs Freda Nwachukwu, and his elder sister in Jos, they noted that the accompanying negative commentary in social and other media portraying his widow in an unfair and most defamatory manner is in no way, shape or form an accurate portrayal of the Lynda that they know and relate with.

Recall that the movie producer in an article narrated how Saint Obi’s marriage took him away from his friends and acting.
Okafor, who is also a former President of the Association of Movie Producers of Nigeria revealed that the actor’s wife was a top executive in a telecommunication company and her family always saw him as a “gold digger” who was after their sister’s wealth.
However, the family debunked this claim, saying that the views and allegations are entirely the opinions of the writer.
The family concluded by saying the funeral rites will be communicated to the public in due course.
