IGD: Potect rights of every girl child, Olori Atuwatse III counsels

As the world marks the International Day of the Girl-Child today, Nigerians have been admonished to ensure that the rights of every girl child are protected, including her right to quality education.
Olori Atuwase III, wife of Olu Of Warri gave this advice in post on her official Instagram to mark the day.

The wife of the monarch noted that the girl child embodies immeasurable potential, and stakeholders must acknowledge the critical role they play in nurturing these young minds.
The International Day of The Girl Child is a reminder of the progress and the path that lies ahead, she said.

Here is her post: “Every year, the International Day of The Girl Child serves as a reminder of our progress and the path that lies ahead. The girl child embodies immeasurable potential, and today, we celebrate her.

“To all the stakeholders in this noble cause, let us acknowledge the critical role we play in nurturing these young minds. Together, we must ensure that the rights of every girl child are protected, including her right to quality education. It’s not just about imparting knowledge; it’s about laying the cornerstone upon which dreams are constructed and destinies are forged.

“To every girl child out there, know this: your dreams are not just figments of your imagination; they are valid aspirations waiting to be realized. Your voice has the ability to shape  lives. Don’t lose it.

“May our efforts today create a legacy of empowered women, strong and compassionate, ready to make a difference in our world. Happy International Day of the Girl Child.”
