Omolola Faleye, Founder of the makeup and beauty trade show, The MakeUp Fair Series, TMUFS, has described 2023 as a year of milestones.

Speaking of the year which marked the 11th anniversary of the trade show that has, over the years, committed to shaping the future of beauty and providing a platform for brands, exhibitors, and enthusiasts to thrive, Faleye said she is poised to further shape the beauty industry in 2024.

“We are gearing up to officially launch our Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, initiatives and introduce other sister arms of TMUFS.

“We also plan to bring back our signature events, Beauty Pitch Africa (BPA), and and Makeup Runway Africa (MURA),” she said as she unveiled, to Allure, plans for the year 2024.

Since its inception in 2012, TMUFS has organised a total of 112 fairs across 13 cities.

“In 2023, we hosted 16 fairs across 9 cities, creating a vibrant tapestry of beauty experiences for enthusiasts and professionals alike. The year’s pinnacle was reached in April, as TMUFS marked its milestone 100th edition during a grand event that captivated beauty aficionados nationwide.

“The centenary celebration also featured the prestigious recognition awards, where the top 20 participating brands and exhibitors were acknowledged for their unwavering dedication and consistency,” Faleye recounted.

In an utmost display of fulfilment and gratitude over the year 2023, she went on: “December 2023, the Christmas spirit was in full swing as TMUFS hosted its much-anticipated two-day Christmas edition, the Christmas Beauty A’Fair, in Lagos and Abuja.”

The fairs, she recalled, featured a dynamic showcase of over 100 exhibitors unveiling new products, the debut of more than ten exciting brands, captivating live demos by leading makeup artists, and a generous offering of freebies by various beauty brands.
