Senami Sosu, Others, Join Ego Boyo On New Miss Nigeria Board

March 2,2024

The Miss Nigeria beauty pageant recently got a new breath of life with the addition of three cranially adept amazons to its board, bringing the total member number to six.

Among the new blood on the team are Senami Sosu, Chioma Okigbo, and Olatomiwa Williams.
In a post via the Miss Nigeria official Instagram handle earlier in the week, Sosu, Okigbo, and Williams were unveiled as the much anticipated, new board members, joining accomplished filmmaker and creative entrepreneur, Ego Boyo; 24th Miss Nigeria, and British-trained Fellow Accountant (ACCA), (ICAN), Wunmi Ogunbiyi; and Associate Vice President and Portfolio Manager at the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), Aisha Abba Kyari, who had earlier been announced as members of the board.

The announcement has been met with a slew of positive comments and feedback as many lauded the credibility of the board, which for the first time would be chaired by talented screen star, Rita Dominic-Anosike.

It will be remembered that since Dominic-Anosike took over the affairs of the Miss Nigeria pageant as board chairman in October 2023, a new wave of positivity and empowerment has been recorded by the foremost pageant in Nigeria, which dates as far back as 1957.

According to her, “The Miss Nigeria Pageant is a true representation of One Nigeria.”
A cursory look into the profiles of the three new board members reveals why they deserve to sit on the prestigious Miss Nigeria board.
Senami Sosu is the MD/CEO of Imanes Interiors Limited, a world-class interior design establishment with years of experience and an array of prestigious clientele.
With over 25 years of experience in the interior design space, she has successfully diversified into the real estate industry where her creative flair has given her an edge to create successful businesses. Given her vast knowledge and interests in business, she has also actively participated in other industries. She currently sits on the board of two other companies, one in the oil and gas sector and the other in the mining industry, and she plays an active role in both.
Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in English and Literary Studies from the University of Lagos, the dedicated philanthropist and champion of women and children’s causes completed the Institute of Directors Nigeria (IOD)’s Company Directors Courses and has attended various business and management courses.
Deeply committed to family and community, Sosu remains a beacon of impactful leadership and womanhood.
Chioma Okigbo on her part is the CEO at MODD Management Company Limited, with over 28 years of experience in administering clients’ assets.
She is excellent in providing additional wealth creation opportunities in terms of investments management for people as well as companies/organizations.
Also the founder of Body Beautiful FLP, she helps people achieve their personal wellness and business goals.
Certainly not the least on the team, Olatomiwa Williams is a mentor, leader, and tech enthusiast who has over 20 years of experience in the information technology industry.
Currently the country manager for Microsoft in Nigeria and Ghana, her notable passion for seeing more women succeed in the tech industry and contributing to technological innovation and advancement has seen her mentor aspiring female tech leaders.
She spearheads initiatives aimed at nurturing, supporting, and empowering women, particularly the younger generation, to embrace careers in information technology.
The announcement is coming just as the world prepares to celebrate International Women’s Day, signalling a new era of empowerment and impact through pageantry.
