7 grooming tips all stylish men know

Time is fast evolving and men’s grooming, just like a well-curated wardrobe, is now an essential. It is, in fact, classy— and of course a thing of pride, to be a man who knows how to look after himself, from head to toes.

Find here Allure’s top grooming tips every stylish man should adopt.

Visit your barber regularly

Get into the habit of visiting your barber regularly. The trick is to get proactive rather than reactive about your hair. The moment you notice your hair needs a trim, then it means your entire body needs a spa.

Find your signature scent

Find the perfect fragrance that embodies your personality, style, builds your confidence and leaves a lasting impression. Once you find yours, master the habit of using sparingly so you don’t knock passers-by out with your scent.

Up your dental cleansing game

Upgrade. Get yourself an electric toothbrush. Experts say rotating brushes reduce 11 percent more plaque than manual toothbrushes, and can also significantly reduce gum problems. Use a mouthwash after brushing first thing in the morning.

Scrub your face

A face scrub is a twice weekly essential to keep your skin in its best condition. It will help slough away dead skin cells and give you a smoother, glowing skin. Opt for natural ingredients, like oats or apricot kernels.

Practice good foot care routine

Every stylish dude knows his feet have to be taken care of even though they aren’t seen too often. After bathing, use a pumice stone on any dead skin and then apply, generously, a good moisturiser.

Nail your hand-care routine

Trimming your nails at least once a week is basic and you should never skip on that. Preferably, do this after a bath or shower, to make them softer and easier to trim.

Use a sunscreen

We just can’t sound this enough; it will, in fact, always be on our list. Sunscreen reduces aging, wrinkles and the risk of skin cancer which is sadly on the rise. We recommend adding a good SPF 30 moisturiser into your daily grooming routine.
