Modern Legacy Collection by Ajani Ruth for Fa Fittings at the El Amor Fashion Show 2024

FA Fittings recently launched the “Modern Legacy” Collection at the 2024 El Amor Fashion Show that was held on the 26th of May.

It has been a collection of discourse with fashion enthusiasts, critics, and experts present giving motivating feedback to show their appreciation for the brand’s Lead Designer, Ruth’s creative talent and fashion designing skills, evident in how she competently combined the Nigerian cultural heritage with her visionary design concepts.

The delivery of the collection further breaks certain design limitations, introducing a trendsetting perspective for contemporary fashion in the industry. Ajani succeeded in technically manipulating Irish and Cashmere fabrics to transform them into sustainable fashion products and statements.

With an extensive list of product types embedded in the collection, the Modern Legacy is a set of customized attires that encourages inclusivity and promotes diversity. Ruth tailored each style set to fit a certain height, skin type, weight class, and events.

This strategic approach to product development allows for versatility. It gives it a greater chance at succeeding in the fashion marketplace as it offers every wearer and prospective customer an option of at least two.

Furthermore, the detailing in terms of fabric, texture, color, and cutting solidifies Ruth’s ability to excel in the practice of specific technical skills, even though her expertise lies in embroidery and fabric manipulation.

“Modern Legacy,” as the name states, fits a standard that upcoming designers should aspire to exceed. Ruth sewed the designs into two pieces for men featuring Buba and Sokoto, Dansiki and Sokoto, Senator Wear, and Kaftan and pants. On the chest region of each piece, one could experience the craftsmanship of Ruth’s embroidery skill, carefully choosing the choicest threads to artistically create embroidery works that accentuate the essence of each piece.

Designed for elegance, comfort, and durability, the pants and traditional trousers feature bands with single or double pleats, flat fronts, and cuffed or non-cuffed hems, all contributing to the designs’ sophistication and practicality. Only some Kaftans have sewn designs with minimal embroidery but feature functional pockets and drawstrings.
