One of the biggest and brightest cities in Southern Nigeria, Port Harcourt or the Garden City as it is called, is the capital of Rivers State.

Also about the fifth largest city in Nigeria, Port Harcourt is always in and around the conversation when you are looking for places to visit in Nigeria.

Visit Pleasure Park
The best park for family and children leisure, fun and play in Port Harcourt, Pleasure Park is quite secured and safe. Located in Rumuola, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, it’s the perfect tourist destination. If you love climbing, this is a good place for you; it’s got a climbing tower you’d love.

Experience nature at the Port Harcourt Zoo
This is a really fun place to be. The zoo which is a state-owned zoological park in Port Harcourt has lots of horses for rent and photographers to give you memorable images. The zoo is home to numerous exceptional creatures such as monkeys, lions, cobra, chimpanzees, turtles, and more. Interestingly, it is located about 23km from the Port Harcourt International Airport.

Visit Port Harcourt Tourist Beach
The Port Harcourt Tourist Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the city of Port Harcourt. Built in the year 1988 along the lines of Kolabi Creek, many tourists go there to plan a picnic, party, sunbathe or just take a walk. Many activities are available for guests looking to sport, including horseback riding, volleyball and football among other famous beach sports.

Remember the Port Harcourt Cultural Center
Located on Bonny street, the Port Harcourt Cultural Center is completely devoted to showing the rich diversity of the Port Harcourt people and their culture. Various exhibits to be found at the Center include local artifacts, African figurines and pottery, as well as a theater where cultural dances and plays are regularly held. It holds an enormous attraction for guests.

Visit the Rivers State Museum
If you love the arts, then you cannot afford to visit Port Harcourt without seeing the Rivers State Museum. The museum stands as a beacon of cultural heritage, taking visitors on a captivating journey through the history and traditions of the oil-rich city. Located near the University of Port Harcourt, the museum is the best historical place in this city and draws tourists from allover the world.
