Rele Owoyemi Photography, successfully hosted senior citizens to a wellness soiree tagged “Aging Like Fine Wine” on September 21, 2024, at FDO Towers, Lagos, Nigeria.

This gathering brought together senior citizens from diverse backgrounds, and professionals dedicated to supporting, honoring, and facilitating healthy communities for senior adults to thrive in their golden years.

The event celebrated the vibrant lives of senior adults, focusing on health, wellness, and life after retirement. Attendees enjoyed keynote speeches, a panel discussion, and a dance session, all designed to inspire and empower seniors to live fulfilling lives.

The day began with complimentary health screenings provided by Naveen Healthcare, nourishing breakfast for all attendees, and inspiring keynote presentations from Otunba Funsho Owoyemi, Founder of Funsho Owoyemi & Co., and Dr. Monisola Adanijo, Founder of Naveen Healthcare. The presentations offered valuable insights on maintaining active, healthy, and financially secure lives after retirement.

The event also featured insightful discussions by a panel of experts, including Mr. Segun Aremu, Dr. Monisola Adanijo, and Rev. Engr. Bunmi Adejoke, exploring the tenets of life before and after retirement, and sharing practical advice on how seniors can have healthy social interactions to ensure social wellness.

You do not need to look too far to find a program, event, or initiative aimed at celebrating the younger generation, but there isn’t so much done for our seniors.
