The event that took place in Malaysia aimed to commend women of substance who have supported in empowering individuals across the globe to become better leaders and successful individuals in their respective endeavours.

According to the chairman of Women In Business Management, Prof. Dr. Selvaraj Oyyan Pillay, the event that had in attendance participants from across the world, was the high-point of the Global Leadership Conference and top 50 professional and Career Women Awards 2024.

To him, Monalisa Okojie, who is also the Founder and Executive Director of EXPOSE as well as Commonwealth Business Women (CBW) Africa Country Head for the USA has played a vital role in promoting economic empowerment and leadership opportunities for women across Africa.

Okojie, he also noted, is known to be passionate about fostering transformative leadership and building opportunities that uplift marginalised communities worldwide.

In her acceptance speech, Monalisa Okojie said: “I feel deeply honoured and humbled to receive the Woman Personality of the Year award. This recognition is not only a personal milestone but also a testament to the collective efforts of everyone who has supported and believed in my vision and work.

“It inspires me to continue striving for excellence, empowering others, and making a meaningful impact in the community.

“This award reaffirms the importance of the work I do and motivates me to push forward with even greater passion and dedication.’’

While stating that the award serves as a powerful source of motivation and responsibility to her, she added: “It reminds me that the work I do has a meaningful impact and encourages me to expand my efforts to reach even more individuals and communities.

“This recognition highlights the importance of empowering women and using my platform to advocate for positive change. It pushes me to strive for greater innovation and collaboration in my initiatives, ensuring that I continue to create opportunities and inspire others to realise their potential.’’
