Bolanle Austen-Peters honoured with Fellow, Theatre Arts 2024 award
Award-winning Nigerian movie and theater director, producer and cultural entrepreneur, Bolanle Austene-Peters has been awarded Fellow, Theatre Arts (FTA) 2024.
Bolanle, who is also the Executive Director of Terra Kulture shared images from the ceremony which took place over the weekend on her Instagram page saying it is in recognition of her years of passion, persistence, and unwavering belief in the power of theatre summed up yesterday by her peers.
She thanked the association for the recognition and everyone who walked the path with her.
“Last night, I was awarded the prestigious “Fellow” of Theatre Arts (FTA)’ 2024, a recognition I am thankful for. Years of passion, persistence, and unwavering belief in the power of theatre were summed up yesterday by my peers. From the early days when the vision seemed impossible, to now, it’s been a journey of rebranding Nigerian theatre and taking it to a global stage. This honour is not just mine, it’s a testament to everyone who has supported and believed in the dream. Thank you to the Association for this recognition, and to every person who has walked this path with me. The journey continues, and the best is yet to come.”
