‘I Am Anis’ Sparks Conversations on Womanhood, Resilience at Exclusive Screening

The exclusive screening of ‘I Am Anis’ yesterday at The Jewel by Aeida was more than just a cinematic event—it was a movement.

With its compelling narrative on resilience and self-discovery, the movie sparked an important conversation around how women can empower one another through the #NudgeDontJudge initiative.

Directed by Biodun Stephen, ‘I Am Anis’ tells the story of Anisola Williams, a woman who must confront her past when her son stumbles upon the truth about her younger self.

The movie’s storyline and emotional depth emphasise the importance of second chances, acceptance, and community support.

At the event, Biodun Stephen led attendees in taking the #NudgeDontJudge pledge, encouraging women to stand together, offer support, and inspire one another instead of casting judgment.

“The world is already tough on women—we don’t need to be tough on each other. This is about creating a culture where women uplift and empower one another,” she emphasised while also disclosing that the movie will streaming on Circuits, a new digital platform.

In alignment with the International Women’s Day 2025 theme, Accelerate Action, the screening served as a catalyst for meaningful dialogue on how women can take proactive steps in fostering inclusivity and understanding.
