‘She went back to write WAEC at 45’ – Enioluwa Adeoluwa’s hails mum over doctorate degree achievement

Media personality and content creator Enioluwa Adeoluwa has written a heartfelt tribute to his mother, Dr. Bola Adeoluwa, who recently earned her doctoral degree.

In an emotional Instagram post, Enioluwa described his mother as the “quiet force” behind their family’s success. While often overshadowed by his father’s academic accomplishments, she has been equally instrumental in shaping their values and achievements.

Enioluwa shared that his mother’s academic journey has been extraordinary. Despite already holding multiple qualifications—two bachelor’s degrees, two master’s degrees, and a postgraduate diploma—she returned to take the WAEC (West African Examinations Council) exam at 45 in order to meet a requirement for pursuing her dream of earning a PhD.

“What inspires me most is her journey,” he wrote. “She went back to write WAEC because she needed Mathematics, and at 45, she enrolled for another bachelor’s degree to make her dream possible.”

He praised her resilience and quiet strength, calling her “his biggest inspiration” and a true example of perseverance and self-belief. “That’s resilience. That’s strength. That’s the unwavering backbone she’s always been. Even in the quiet moments when no one was watching, she showed up for herself,” he added.
