Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN) set the tone for its 2025 celebration with a colourful pre-event showcase that transformed Ojaja Mall, Lagos into a lively runway of style, culture, and entertainment.

Shoppers and visitors at the grand launch of the Ojaja Mall Lagos, were treated to an unexpected burst of fashion as AFWN models stormed the mall with impromptu runway walks, spotlighting creativity and Afrocentric flair.

The atmosphere quickly shifted from a regular shopping day to a full-scale fashion spectacle, offering guests a lively preview of what AFWN has in store this December.

The takeover featured a thrilling fire-breathing act that drew crowds, an enchanting preview of the Nigerian Wedding Experience, and an exclusive live presentation of the Ojaja Collection, a tribute to His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife. Cultural displays added depth and excitement to the moment, celebrating the diversity and artistic richness at the heart of African fashion.

According to AFWN organisers, the Ojaja Mall activation reflects the vibrant, festival-like energy that will drive this year’s event. “The reception was incredible. It shows the love people have for African fashion and the anticipation building toward AFWN 2025,” say Queen Ronke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi Founder Africa Fashion Week Nigeria.

AFWN 2025 is set to take place on December 20 & 21 at the J. Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, Onikan, Lagos, promising a true Naija December experience filled with runway showcases, exhibitions, masterclasses, and cultural immersion.

Fashion lovers can expect more updates, designer spotlights, and behind-the-scenes moments as the countdown to Africa’s biggest fashion celebration continues.
