Just a couple of days ago, Jordan’s the Nike sneaker brand powered by legendary basket baller Michael Jordan released a soccer boots collection called “Jordan Cleats”.

This new arm of Jordan’s, was launched this week with Neymar as the brands first ambassador. Neymar also was consulted in the design process as he was asked to pick his favourite Jordans from all of the sneaker company’s previous collections and his choice was adapted to a soccer booth for him. He also requested for Jordan’s number 23 to be on one foot and his own number 10 to be on the other.

The question I am asking however, is that “Will soccer boots become fashionable from this? From since when I can remember, it has been cool to wear basketball sneakers on Jeans and shorts, especially in hip hop culture. Another pair of athletic footwear deemed fashionable are tennis shoes. But for some reasons, nobody wears football boots anywhere. I always thought it was because of the spikes beneath, or maybe they weren’t just overall cool.

But with Jordan, being a top fashion brand releasing these pair of boots into the market, things might just change. And taking into consideration that Neymar is a huge style icon around the globe, especially in the Americas, it is possible he can pioneer that trend. Also, soccer is becoming big in the US which is the country responsible for most of the world’s style.

Already US rapper fabulous, took to Instagram to show off the new Jordan Cleats and captioned his post NEYMAR X JORDAN. The boots are awesome though.
