The Governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson is in celebration mood as his wife of many years and First lady of the state, Dr. Rachel Dickson just delivered quadruplets; a boy and three girls.
This news of the birth of the multiples came a day, after an Abuja court affirmed him the winner of the last gubernatorial election in the state, making this moment one of double celebration for him.
Governor Dickson and his wife, Rachel had been trying to conceive for many years, before they got blessed with the birth of these children. She had the babies in an undisclosed US hospital.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary of the governor, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, the children are a blessing for the state’s first family and Bayelsans “because this bundle of joy is coming after many years of praying and waiting upon the Lord.”
Governor Dickson thanks friends, family members and Bayelsans for their prayers and support and enjoins them to continue to pray for the family. Both mother and children are said to be doing well.
