Kenyan couple who had low key wedding gets married again elaborately
By Patricia Uyeh
News of Kenyan couple, Wilson and Ann Mutura circulated after they spent below one dollar for their wedding ceremony, where they just wore only jeans and matching red T-shirts.
Now, the couple has had their second wedding ceremony on Valentine’s day yesterday at an upmarket venue in the capital, Nairobi and it has been estimated to worth $35,000.
According to Aaltonen Jumba, a member of the Slique Events Planner Ltd which organised the wedding, the couple are not just getting a romantic wedding ceremony they deserve, they also got financial support for their marriage. He disclosed this to BBC news.
He said:
“The couple have already been supported by others financially. Different people gave different things at different levels.
“They have been given a greenhouse farm, a honeymoon and have been promised money to start a business,”
“Since that has been taken care of, why not give them the wedding they never had. Everyone needs that dream wedding.”
