Circumcision goes wrong when man accidentally cuts off step-grandson’s genitals

A 59-year-old man identified as Keke Ziworitin from the coastal community of Ondewari in the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa state reportedly cut off half his step-grandson’s penis accidentally while trying to circumcize him.
It was gathered that Ziworitin has been performing circumcision for years but this time around it went wrong when he told the victim’s mother to bring her son for circumcision.
The eight-month old child has been transferred to the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa
The victim’s father, Joseph Michael revealed that he was neither aware of his child being taken for circumcision nor his wife informing him. It was until the tragedy happened that he became abreast of the news that his son’s genital had been cut off.
Michael said ;
“After cutting off my boy’s penis, he told my wife to leave the child with him for at least three weeks so that he could treat him. But my wife refused because the boy was bleeding and she rushed him to a health centre,”
