Singer, Mayorkun claims his song ”Sade” was not inspired by any girlfriend by that name

Ever since, he broke into the Nigerian music industry with his hit song ”Eleko”, the banker turned musician, Adewale Mayowa, better known as Mayorkun, has drawn fans to himself.
In a recent interview, Mayorkun opened up about his recent single ”Sade” following allegations that the song had been inspired by a girlfriend who bears the same name.
The Davido‘s record label (DMW) artiste revealed that he wrote the song solely to entertain his fans and not to serenade any girlfriend named Sade even though he does not mind finding a “Sade” soon.
Mayorkun said: “I’m not even sure I personally know anyone called Sade.”
He also disclosed that he broke up with his girlfriend two months before he was signed to DMW, due to his busy schedule while he worked as a banker.
