Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu, who is now Toyin Abraham, in a recent inetrview interview with BroadWay TV, opened up about her personal struggles,  drug addiction, dealing with depression, suicide, finding and learning to love herself again and more.

Speaking on what has changed about her, Toyin Abraham said:

”I worked on the negativity around me. I tried to be postive and I had to deal with depression and drugs”

She threw more light on the negativity she had had to overcome and they included a broken home and a broken marriage. According to the ”Alakada reloaded” actress, she did not plan for them.

She  also said:

”I was emotionally carried away. I did not hear before jumping into another relationship. I thought I was going to get healed by jumping into another relationship. Then I realised I do not actually love myself, I wanted people around to love me. I think I was not focusing on things that really mattered, I was focusing on things that do not really matter. And I always choose people before me. I did not love myself… I did not love myself enough and I wanted people around to love me”

”I was loosing touch with things that used to work for me because I was involved in negative habits like drugs, smoking, codeine . Codeine is very bad. All these things were empowering my negative habits. Even when I did something good and positive it would just end up being negative. So I had to stop”
