Nollywood hunk, Yul Edochie shocked his teeming fans this morning.
The popular movie star who took after his father, veteran actor, Pete Edochie, announced that he has intentions to run in the next gubernatorial elections of his state, Anambra.
According to what the father of three wrote on Instagram, the older leaders have failed and its about time the youths take over.
“My name is Yul Edochie.
And I’m running for Governor of Anambra State. 2017.
#TheLastBusStop . We need a new brand of Leaders who will put the masses first.
The older ones have failed us for too long…
They have come to THE LAST BUS STOP!!!, he wrote.
However, when his publicist, Rita Okoye, was contacted, she affirmed that indeed Yul has declared his intentions to run for the post and would do everything possible to make his dreams see the light of the day.
“It’s a Divine intervention. The older leaders have done their part. It’s about time the youths took over. So, we are out to put smiles on the faces of the people,” she assured.
When asked the Political Party, Yul would be running under, Ms Okoye, added that the plans to unveil the party is still in the wraps and would be announced in few months time.
