Governor Ambode unveils statue of Afrobeat legend, Fela in Lagos

In commemoration of Nigerian music legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s 79th posthumous birthday, the Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode unveiled the Liberation Statue of the Afrobeat legend, at Allen Avenue Roundabout, Ikeja, yesterday October 15th.
The governor alongside his entourage witnessed a command live performance by Femi Kuti at the New Afrika Shrine, Ikeja as the 2017 Felabration came to a close.
