High Society Club Of Nigeria celebrated her 55th anniversary alongside her Governor’s day ceremony which was hosted by the Governor General of the club Captain Oluwole Agoro. The event had top dignitaries in attendance like the President of the club Shinor Ogunladi Baale in Ife Ijebu Waterside & Wife, some of the life President of the club like Chief L.A Sheyumbu, Vice Life President – Akinola 1 Oba Shakiru, Chief Past Gov. Cole, Past Gov. Tunde Ramon Baale in Ikonor Abeokuta with his wife, Mrs Maiden Ibru MD Guardian Newspapers, Senior Apostle Engineer Frederick Egbeiyelo Ambassador of the club, councilors and government officials, including traditional rulers and Baales from neighboring towns, professionals and business men, friends and well wishers who graced the occasion where there was so much to eat and drink. The occasion was chaired by Honorable Rotimi Olowo. Speaking on the significance of the celebration, Captain Oluwole Agoro stated that: High Society Club Of Nigeria stands for peace whose goal is to bring her children together to know each other so they can socialize knock their heads together. He also went further to say that as far as Nigerian is concern people think we belong to cult but that their forefathers started it in those days there was an event called high society that is where they got the name from. He ended his statement that they are friends to help each.
The high point of the event was the opening of the society’s club house by Honorable Rotimi Olowo who donated half a million to the club in which the Governor general promised would be used to help youths to start up a business.
