Osun state-born artiste, Adewale Emmanuel, better known by his stage name Mayorkun, who quit his banking career for music, in a recent chat revealed his relationship with Davido is beyond business.

Ina  chat with Guardian Life, the ‘Eleko’  crooner revealed that he started music as a chorister in church where he learnt the rudiments of music.

On his relationship with DMW boss, Davido, he revealed they are very cordial, saying:

“Davido is someone I respect so much. He is someone who gives everyone a chance to make their own choices and as well, though he advises us on decisions to make sometimes because he has been there and has conquered. Basically, he is like an older brother to us all. Sometimes, we forget it’s business.”

Speaking on what inspires his songs, Mayorkun said:
“Eleko was inspired by a girl I asked out years back and she snubbed me. Mama is me reminiscing about the girl of my dreams, who I think I’m meeting soon’
