Rapper, Jay Z beats P.Diddy to top Forbes Hip-Hop wealthiest artistes list

Rapper, Jay Z tops Forbes’ list of Hip-Hop wealthiest artistes with a whooping net worth of $900 million.
Jay Z dethrones business mogul and rapper, Sean Combs aka P.Diddy, who has been number one since inception in 2011. Instead P. Diddy came second place this year with a net worth of $825 million.
Forbes ranks Jay Z on top because of his rising interests in Armand de Brignac champagne and D’usse cognac.
Prolific producer and entrepreneur, Dr Dre came third with a networth of $770 million. The 53 year old benefited from the rising stock market boosting his networth from Apple’s $3billion buyout of his Beats in 2014.
United States rappers, Drake and Eminem rounded the latest top five, with an estimated net worth of $100 million each.
Forbes put together the list by valuing major assets, examining financial documents and consulting analysts, attorneys and other industry key players.
