In a world where we are being bombarded with the ‘ideal’ body size, the Plus Size Fashion Week Africa , with theme ‘Beautifully me’ kicked off to break all norms and stereotypes to celebrate the plus size woman and everything about her.

The two day event , held at the Main Banquet Hall of the Oriental Hotel on the 3rd and 4th of November, 2018.

It was hosted by ace media personality, Titi Oyinsan. It had plus size models strut the runways to showcase the collections of designers such as Dear Curves, My beautiful Africa, GF Fitness, Gudy Lagos, Niffe, JP Kingdom, Modavi, Shorleen Tluv, perilious, Fashion by MS, Areke by Juliet, Agatha Moreno, Sgtc clothings, O.Sanders, Okis signature, Ashanti, Scalett And Jo, Morino, Vonray Design, Ejiro Amos Tafiri.

Another side attraction was the exhibition stand, not forgetting the masterclass that brought together the ‘who and who’ in the fashion and beauty industry to share their plus size struggles, stories and victories.

These speakers included Olubunmi Aboderin Talabi, Bukky Karibi- Whyte, Glory Edozien, Olubukola Aknbi, Moremi Elekwachi,Dumebi Agbakoba,Aderonke Adefalujo, Yetty Ogunnubi, Gbemisola Adebayo, Omilola Osikoya, Olakemi Obi, Obiamaka Oragwu and a host of others.
