Allure Vanguard’s Top 5 grossing movies 2018

The Nigerian Movie industry has recorded a lot of success in the year 2018. Let’s take a quick look at the top 5 grossing movies.
1 .MERRY MEN:

AY Makuns’s film ‘Merry Men’: The Real Yoruba Demons’, was released on September 28, 2018.
Within a seven week period, it earned over N230 Million in cinemas nationwide, making it the highest grossing movie in 2018.
2. KING OF BOYS

Despite being released late September, the Kemi Adetiba produced movie holds the slot for the second highest grossing movie in Nigeria for 2018.
It is said to have made over N105 million at the box office after remaining the no 1 movie for over 4 weeks.
3. CHIEF DADDY

With a cast featuring every big name in Nollywood, a massive Owambe, unending teasers and a sprinkle of comedy, The Temidayo Abudu and Queen Martins produced movie was always going to be a hit.
In its opening weekend alone, the movie ‘Chief Daddy’ grossed a whopping N42million from ticket sales, earning it the third highest opening weekend for any Nollywood film.
4. THE GHOST AND THE TOUT

Released on May 11, 2018, the movie ‘Ghost and The Tout’ is the fourth highest grossing Nigerian Movie with N80 million.
The comedy was produced by Nollywood Actress Toyin Abraham.
5. MOMS AT WAR

Omoni Oboli’s ‘Moms at War’ completes our top 5 Grossing Nollywood movies of 2018.
It is said to have earned about N65 million from August 17, 2018 till date.
