Allure Awards 2018: CABLE CHANNEL OF THE YEAR-MOVIES – ROK TV
The CEOs of ROK TV, Jason and Mary Njoku are both successful business people. Jason Chukwuma Njoku is an entrepreneur, film magnate and African startup investor.
He is the co-founder and C.E.O of IrokoTV, a multimedia company that provides paid-for, on-demand Nollywood content to an audience worldwide.
In 2016, ROK television launched on DSTV, and this ushered in a new era for Nollywood. ROK TV today has become, arguably, one of the most successful channels launched in recent DSTV history. It performed so well, not only in Nigeria but also in the U.K.
ROK makes a difference by focusing on new faces and new talents. Within a short while, it launched two more channels across Africa on DSTV; ROK – Contemporary, New Nollywood. ROK 2 – Epic Movies and Series and Rok 3 – Ghana movies and series.
Indeed they are worth Allure’s Cable Channel of the Year Award.
