Bad habits you must break when trying to lose weight

It’s a new year. For many, especially women, weight loss is often the most common resolution they make.

However, many fail to keep up with this goal, even after a few months.

Here are 3 habits you must quit this year if you must achieve your set goal this year.

KEEPING TEMPTING FOOD AROUND

It’s hard to resist temptation when it’s staring you in the face. You’re much more likely to grab biscuits, cookies, sweets or ice cream if it’s always in your house. Do yourself a favour and keep tempting foods out of your sight. If you’re going to keep irresistible snacks at home stash them in a cupboard. Keep your fruit displayed proudly out on the table where you can easily get them in the place of junks

SKIPPING BREAKFAST

You might think that skipping breakfast, a whole meal, will help you cut calories. But the research says that eating breakfast can help you lose weight. Breakfast eater tends to weigh less and is more successful at losing weight and keeping it off than those who skip the meal. What’s more, people who typically eat breakfast also get more fibre, calcium, vitamin A and C, riboflavin, zinc and iron. Not hungry when you first get up? Don’t worry, eating breakfast doesn’t have to be the first thing you do each day. Just make sure that when you eat, your meal is something that will sustain you a few hours, it should include some fibre and protein

EATING STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BAG

If you are eating directly out of the package, whether chips, ice cream, cookies, cracker, it’s easy to eat several servings without realising it. A key step when you are trying to lose weight is literally watching what you eat… Been aware of what you eat and how much you’re eating. Been conscious of what you are eating will help u meet your weight loss. Try pouring your snacks into a bowl or onto a plate before you start to enjoy them. In this way, you can see exactly what quantity you are about to consume, and you will be more in control of your calorie count.
