Actress, Adesua Etomi calls for justice for Kolade, man reportedly killed by SARS stray bullet

Actress, Adesua Etomi-Wellington has taken to her Instagram to express her sadness at the killing of a man, Kolade Johnson, who was reportedly hit by an Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) stray bullet, while watching a football match, on Sunday.

While calling for justice for Kolade, the ‘Wedding Party’ star, also called on the government to proscribe SARS, adding “If a tree is producing rotten fruit, CUT IT DOWN.”

She wrote: “I am SO SICK of the abuse of power by SARS.

I am SO SICK of a government that turns deaf ears to the cries of its people.

HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE before something is done about this nonsense?

Every other day, we hear stories of how citizens are beaten, killed, robbed, kidnapped by SARS.

If a tree is producing rotten fruit, CUT IT DOWN.

This is Kolade. His only crime was watching football. That was all he was doing when a stray bullet hit him yesterday. A bullet fired by a SARS official. They fled the scene btw. So who do we hold responsible?

He has a son who now has to grow up without a father, all because some idiot was trigger happy.

Reports have it that tragedy struck on Olu Aboderin Street, Onipetesi area of Lagos State, on Sunday when SARS operatives of the Lagos State Police Command allegedly shot dead a Kolade.

The squad was said to have stormed an eatery in the area to arrest a man, who was watching a live English Premiership League football match between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
