Staying stylish with hijabs this Ramadan

May 22,2019
Share:

We appreciate all our fashionable hijabis, they add spice to the fashion world. It is expected these hijabis are  modest and conservative in their dressing. This is not a license to not be fashionable. In fact, a whole new movement has the hijabis(muslim woman) stay stylish and trendy with their traditional headscarves (hijabs).

During this Ramadan season, here is what to note dressing fashionably in a hijab:

  • Body Type

With the hijab fashion comes modesty, these go hand in hand. It is important to understand your body type and know what works for you. Style is more about what works for you and not following trends.

  • Mixing prints

The rule is to incorporate prints with more neutral clothings e.g you can pair a long A-line striped skirt with a silky shirt, a floral blazer and neutral headscarf.

  • Layering

Try wearing spagetti-strap dresses over long-sleeved blouses and pair with long pants or jeans. You can also pair short dresses with long A-line skirts or palazzo pants for a more defined look. Layering cloths is very cost-effective and time-saving.

  • Selection of headscarf

When selecting headscarves, make sure that your style complements  your outfit. Use the headscarf to balance out the colours and patterns you go for. Lastly, put on a smile, exhume confidence and be of the right attitude to bring your outfit together.
