US diva, Mary J Blige to be honoured with BET lifetime achievement award
US music diva, Mary J. Blige will be honoured with the prestigious lifetime achievement award during the 2019 BET Awards.
The award, which will be presented during the 19th annual BET Awards ceremony, will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, on June 23rd.
The ‘No more drama’ crooner would add the accolade to her stellar music career that includes nine Grammys (and 32 nominations) and eight multi-platinum albums.
Mary J Blige will join past BET lifetime achievement honorees such as Anita Baker, New Edition, Charlie Wilson, Prince, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross and James Brown.
