“I’m going to be a father again”-D’banj

Nigerian musician, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, also known as D’banj has revealed that he’s going to be a father again.

14 months ago, the artiste lost his first son to a domestic accident, which he said broke him and his family.

While speaking on how he coped with the loss of his child in a radio interview with BeatFm London, D’banj mentioned that he would be a father in few months.

According to him, if his family can be restored, restoration is possible for anyone in his shoes

He said,

To lose a child is not something I’ve thought about. This was one that broke me. it just took the grace of God and a lot of therapy but I think I went to therapy once and I said, no be my style, that one na oyinbo thing because it was bringing so many things that I wasn’t ready for.

I’m happy that overtime, I’ve been able to channel that into my music, which is more important for me. The most important thing I believed and prayed for was restoration. I know that no matter how many times I say everything is okay, to my wife, God has to give us restoration.

I’m proud to say that in a few months time now, I’m going to be a father again.

My upcoming album has two parts and one part talks about how we have been able to deal with it and we’re still dealing with it and more importantly to let people know that we are being restored and that once it can happen for us, restoration can also happen for anybody.
