Adetoke Oluwo speaks on seeking people’s validation

The process of finding one’s self doesn’t happen in a day. For some, it took years and for some, it took a little time. However, whenever you find yourself is your morning.

Adetoke Oluwo speaks on seeking people's validation

Fashion entrepreneur, Adetoke Oluwo shared how she went from the timid young lady to the confident young woman, who is doing all the things she has wanted to do, today.

Urging others to learn from her, Adetoke Oluwosays loving and working on yourself will not let you bend to other people’s approval, so much that you lose yourself.

Adetoke Oluwo wrote,

I legit stopped caring when I was age 30 and I started doing what I wanted to do “genuinely,” even when it turned around to burn me, I learnt from it and got better and it feels so liberating to live my true self on and off social media. I LOVE IT!!!
______________________
I wish I knew this when I was a teen, or a young Adult and this was why I posted this for many of you who may be like me years ago. Stop seeking people’s validation to the point where you lose yourself, your path, your journey, your self esteem, your self-worth and pride. You will regret it down the line and “may” never grow out of it like I did.
_____________________
I was bullied like over 70% of my age, intimidated into believing I couldn’t be loved, I wanted people to like me so bad that I lost my voice, I even levelled down on academics to fit in (ode ?) and a good part of my years were lost as a young adult (reason I fight bullies so hard now) It is not because I like “wahala”, I know firsthand what it’s like to be cornered and not have anyone fight for you?. ______________________
Took me over 10 years to find this “Toke” you all see, 10 years of vigorous soul searching through the Word of God and stubborn faith. It was only when I “understood” how much God loves me I started loving myself and scales fell off my eyes. Right now, you can’t tell me less, you can’t even bully me lol! COS I KNOW WHO I AM FOR REAL!!!
______________________
From experience, if you work on yourself, LOVE YOURSELF, you will get to that place where people start hating you for being “okay” with your Authentic self, they would be angry they can’t control you anymore, let them go and do not lose focus of the person you’ve worked on and you will start seeing this World differently and trust me, things will begin to look good cos there is an energy being loved by one’s self brings…..I wish I could explain it…..Good Morning.
