Old girls of St. Maria Goretti Girls’ Grammar School, Benin City, last weekend, converged at the Pelican Hotel, Lekki, Lagos for their 21st Annual General Meeting.

The glitz and glam event, brought together women from all walks of life, gaily clad in all shades of colbat blue, in line with the colour code for the event.

The three- day event themed “Because you are my sister” was in line with the Association’s vision of fostering sisterhood amongst members.

It was a refreshing time for the old girls as they participated in programmes to enrich body, mind and spirit- fitness exercises, health talks, elections, etc.

High point of the event was the dinner/ award night that saw deserving members being rewarded.

The event climaxed with a thanksgiving service at St. Phillips and James Catholic Church, Lekki.

Earlier in a welcome address, the newly, re-elected National President, Ojeme Ewhrudjiakpor, thanked members for the support given to her, stating that the Association will continue to remain true to the mandate that set it up by engaging in activities that will uplift the standards of both students and teachers.”
