TAFETA COLLECTIONS 2020-FASHION AND RESONANCE

Resonance is the bond between the designer, the design and the customer. It is the beautiful arrangement of what is agreed upon about a properly designed outfit.

It is the very motivation that pushes the designer to craft a piece that wafts in the waves of a social trend. It is the inspiration that keeps fashion in the spirit of ingenuity.
It is what you call a connection between a customer and a garment.

Have you ever walked along a bazaar with numerous fashion outfits hanging from these shops or boutiques and then suddenly you see a dress you love? You examine the dress and even though you hadn’t budgeted to buy a dress that day, you buy it anyway, out of fear that someone might see it and also fall in love and purchase it before you do.

The love and the fear you had felt before purchasing that outfit is what is called resonance. A connection was built between you and that outfit that makes you feel like you can’t leave without the dress. You feel like this dress must go home with you.

Resonance propels the fashion industry; it motivates the designers and gives them the energy to seek inspiration. It makes it possible to make a sale to the customers. So designers consciously or subconsciously realize that resonance in the fashion industry is their superpower.

With resonance, designers command the market in their favour. It is not an easy task, to craft dresses that resonate every time with people. So hence the reasons why we should give kudos to those who make it happen on a regular.

Nigerian fashion designs are one to look out for when thinking of outfits that resonate with the street or with people.

The Tafetta Collection 2020 by Oreoluwa Adeola Mubarakat is a collection that practically illustrates what resonance is, in fashion. It is obvious that the designer purposely decided to go on a bold expenditure on crafting dresses that stand apart in African indigenous fashion. When such fashion styles become a trend, it gives the era a name – the era of the Tafetta Collection.

This is what fashion does to us, it is not just the covering of our bodies; it is an embodiment of culture that speaks or communicates and makes a connection. It is a celebration of a time when a fashion trend was in vogue. It is the very praise of fashion.

Resonance breathes into fashion; there is creation, appropriation and growth.
To create a resonating garment, a designer must be ready to do deep social research on what fashion trends people are currently feeling and why they are feeling these trends. The fashion designer becomes a researcher because information is important for growth and success, but in this fashion case, it is important for trends.

There are various platforms for a designer to conduct deep research on fashion trends. Social media is a vast space to conduct such research.

The designer could check out pictures of celebrities and everyday people to see what’s catching their attention in the world of fashion. The designer could also ask questions online to know, understand and be informed about what drives people to the style they purchase or what motivates their decisions.

Sometimes, people start to catch on to a fashion design when they see that it seems to becoming a trend. But at the initial, they might have come across this design but didn’t feel any connection.

Have you ever started loving a fashion design because you saw different celebrities wearing it? Have you ever bought a design because you saw multiple people wearing and commenting on it? Sometimes designers could use the power of social media to create a faux trend that eventually becomes a trend. Resonance could be contracted from several people to a person.

Though there is a place for spontaneous relative resonance, inducing resonance is a faster way to a trendy design. You will agree with me that the designer behind the Tafetta Collections 2020 consciously has a mind on resonance when crafting the beautiful, attractive outfits of this collection.

The designer used the power of resonance to elevate the fashion design in this collection, from being just clothes that could be worn to cover your body, to a point of elevation where it resonates with you.

When a garment resonates with you, it results in you feeling good in it, whenever you put it on to an occasion or social function.
Dresses also resonate with the events. Every event demands its outfit.

You could wear a waiter’s uniform while performing your job as a waiter and still look smart and cool at work. But you couldn’t wear the same outfit while meeting the governor of your state at his office without him giving you a questioning glance. Fashion creates resonance and connections between people. The resonance created between people also creates love and acceptance.

These much is believed, that Oreoluwa thought of all these you have read in volumes, to give you the fashion outfit of your dreams through this Tafetta Collections 2020.

This is a modest outfit that could also be adopted as a personal style. It is big on moral vibes; the type of outfit that gives social respect. This elegant dress has something you could call a visually empowering dress, with timeless silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, and impeccable craftsmanship.

The elegant pose of the outfit is one for a conversation; it gives the vibe of self-assuredness, quality and refinement. The garment is an elegant gown, with a neckline extending and gripping the left shoulder, making it look like a one-shoulder-off garment, in a way that it expresses style and innovation, but without showing much skin.

The sleeve is a little bit above the elbow, giving the arm free vertical and horizontal movement. The lower side of the garment flows below the knee and horizontally folds slightly along its vertical axis, reducing the volume of the dress in a thoughtful creative and stylish way – creating a special design by itself.

This dress depicts a powerful-minded modern, or 21st-century woman. It could be worn to various occasions such as a runway fashion show, product launch parties, and of course religious gatherings. The inspiration for this outfit seems to be from a fashionable but moral and modest state of mind, but also keeping in mind the place of style, resonance and attraction.

The fashion designer, Oreoluwa, seems to have created this piece of collection, which is named Tafetta Collections 2020, to make a fashion statement, create an era and bring to mind a blend of beauty, morality and modesty in fashion.

This outfit is undoubtedly a blend of luxury, modesty and style.

The outfit is a brilliantly crafted gown. It is time-consuming with a paid attention to detail garment. The loosely fitted neckline gives it a playful vibe that is quite alluring and thoughtful, without showing off much skin. The dress generally is a loose fitting, with a gallant pose in the silhouette.

The dress is of a plain purple colour, which reflects at different angles. It is a classy outfit for the landed gentry or anyone who understands the beauty of an outfit that showcases a blend of luxury and modesty. The sleeves are loosely fitted; something you will call a voluminous sleeve, but it grips at the wrist – a very creative idea for a sleeve.
The gown flows below the knee, with horizontal beautiful folds that form in a vertical order from below, to the midriff, showing a little burg. The garment showcases mature beauty and brings people from the 90s and 20s together – this is what you will call fashion inclusion. This shows the brilliance of the designer in the crafting of this iconic fashion piece, in the Tafetta Collections 2020.
The outfit will resonate more with women who are conscious of class and how they are being visually addressed. It’s an outfit that commands power and respect on occasion. This outfit could be worn to numerous places, social events and functions. You could wear it to the runway fashion show, to a cooperate office party, product launch party and even to a religious gathering.

The plain purple colour of the dress is a wise choice for the design because purple depicts royalty, nobility, luxury, power and ambition. These are the qualities that this garment also depicts. It is a dress that will, without any doubt relate with people who are mindful of luxury, power and ambition.
Oreoluwa seems to be gifted with the ability to dazzle people with iconic and rarely beautiful garments that relate with the majority and she has proved her fashion ability in this Tafetta 2020 collection.
