Review: EMAz ARTISTRY celebrates unique bond between mum and daughter with Glam Squad Collection

By Rita Okoye

Mary Akpevwe Egboye-Okonjo, the founder and creative mind behind EMAz ARTISTRY, has once again demonstrated her exceptional design prowess with the launch of her special mother-and-daughter collection called “Glam Squad.”

This collection features floor-length dresses with sophisticated sleeveless, intricate detailing and a blend of modern and traditional elements, appealing to fashion-forward ladies who appreciate elegance with a twist and would want to twin with their daughters.

Aside from embodying panache and sophistication, EMAz ARTISTRY equally empowers and celebrates today’s women’s strength and individuality with a touch of excellence.

With the Glam Squad Collection, every woman is a winner, as they discover their niche and find that special thing that makes them beautiful, confident, comfortable and overall, bond with their daughters.

Creative process: The combination of velvet, sequin, lace, and mesh net to create some of the outfits is also ingenious. Indeed, EMAz ARTISTRY has succeeded in curating and fusing glamorous African aesthetics with contemporary styles for mother and daughter (s).

Innovation: This collection includes coordinated and stylish outfits that allow mothers and daughters to express their unique bond through fashion. The idea is to enhance and celebrate this connection by providing matching or complementary outfits that they can wear on various occasions. These outfits are not just about looking good, but also about creating lasting memories and strengthening emotional bonds through the shared experience of dressing alike.
Glam Squad aims to offer more than just clothing; it provides a way for mothers and daughters to connect on a deeper level. The pieces in this collection are designed with attention to detail and quality, ensuring that each outfit is both beautiful and durable.

Style: The dresses have a classic and elegant look. They would be a good choice for someone who wants a timeless and sophisticated look.
The similar silhouettes and necklines in some of the dresses created a unified look, while the different lengths and embellishments made the dresses age-appropriate for mother and child.

Choice of Fabrics: The dresses from the Glam Squad Collection were made from luxurious fabric, such as sequin, Ankara and lace. Lace and sequin can be itchy for some people. If you or your daughter has sensitive skin, you may want to consider a different material.
However, the gold detailing which is embroidery, beading, or other embellishments added to the beauty of the outfits.

Comparative Analysis: One of the key elements that set EMAz ARTISTRY apart is its focus on inclusivity. The brand believes that fashion should be for everyone, regardless of size, shape or background. Comparatively, therefore, the clothes are available in a wide range of sizes, ensuring that every woman can find that one thing that makes her and daughter feel stylish and confident.

Conclusion: Through Glam Squad, EMAz ARTISTRY hopes to inspire mothers and daughters to cherish their relationships and celebrate unique bond fashionably and memorably.

Egboye-Okonjo also aims to introduce new collections, establish a flagship store, enhance online accessibility, collaborate with designers, host community events, adopt sustainable practices, expand internationally, and offer bespoke services, all to grow into a globally recognized brand celebrating family connections through fashion.
