There are good percentage of women who has made painkillers their rescue whenever their period comes not knowing there are natural ways to deal with period cramps.

Period cramp also known as dysmenorrhea is really so unbearable for some women.

It disrupts their daily activities and prevents them from being useful during the first two or three days.

Taking painkillers may reduce the pain but prolong use of this medications can cause liver problem and other things.

Here are natural remedies you can adopt to help relieve you of period cramps.

VITAMIN D AND NUTRITION ; one sure way to less painful period cramps is making sure your body has the necessary nutrients to fight off body pains.

Vitamin D, a fat-soluble vitamin, can ease period pains by decreasing inflammation caused by the uterus.

Your body can naturally make Vitamin D if you get enough exposure to sun.

However, you can also absorb Vitamin D with foods rich in fatty acids such as salmon, tuna, soy milk, almonds, cheese, and egg yolks.

EXERCISE ; Another great way of educing period cramps is by exercising your body.

Could be yoga poses, running or even going to the gym.

Partaking in physical exercise can increase blood circulation and make your cramp go away.

HEAT : Nothing feels good and relieving than a warm bath or a heating pad on your stomach to help reduce the pains.

Heat can help fight those painful cramps by relaxing the muscles of the uterus and improving blood flow.

Don’t have a bath tub or heating pad?

Grab a water bottle and fill it up with hot water and place on your stomach. That will do the magic.

AROMATHERAPY ; Is a  simple but satisfying approach to combating period cramps.

Massaging yourself with a blend of aromatic plant extracts and essential oils can greatly reduce cramping and inflammation of the uterus.

It does this by promoting the release of hormones to your brain (aka sending signals that reduce changes in hormone levels).

Don’t let your cramps stop you from living your life. Ditch the painkillers and take on natural ways in dealing with period cramps.
