BBNaija: Mercy-Tacha ‘feud’ headlines Pepper Dem’ Reunion day 10

Mercy Eke and Tacha Akide, two former housemates of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, were again in the spotlight during the day 10 of the ongoing reunion of the show.

The two ladies were the most-talked about housemates during the fourth edition of the show won by Mercy — the first female to achieve the feat since its inception.

Since the end of the 2019 edition, the reality stars have continued to make the headlines for numerous reasons, especially due to the perceived lingering feud between them.

Tacha maintains a huge fanbase who christened themselves as ‘Titans’ while those backing Mercy are called ‘Mercenaries’. Their teeming fans are also very fond of calling out one another on social media platforms.

Both of them appeared on Wednesday’s episode of the reunion organised for ex-housemates of the ‘Pepper Dem’ edition and as expected, their presence left several dramas in its wake.

During the show, Ebuka Uchendu, the host, had asked them series of questions bordering on the rumoured frosty relationship between the pair.

Tacha had revealed that she was on good terms with Mercy, until Cindy, another former housemate, made her lose her cool resulting in the open confrontation with Mercy and eventual eviction.

The two also pointed out that their alleged rift is not as deep as it is often portrayed, noting that such is often oxygenated by their teeming fans on the social media.

The duo ended the show on a promising note, suggesting an end to the lingering feud between them could finally be in sight.

Both of them admitted their relationship had largely been marred by miscommunication while they expressed willingness to let go of the past.

Tacha and Mercy have continued to pull the strings since the end of last year’s reality show, snagging a number of endorsements while also gaining huge prominence.
