An American comedian and actor, Kevin Hart has reportedly said he tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the year but decided not to announce it publicly.

According to Page Six, the ‘Jumanji’ star brought the revelation to light while performing at the latest iteration of Dave Chappelle’s ‘An Intimate Socially Distanced Affair’ show in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Hart revealed that he contracted the novel disease at about the same time when Tom Hanks, a fellow actor, and Rita Wilson, his wife, also tested positive for the virus.

Hanks and Rita revealed their positive diagnosis on March 12.

The Philadelphia native explained that he decided not to disclose the development because he considered Hanks more famous than he is.

“The problem is that I had it around the same time as Tom Hanks, and I couldn’t say anything because he’s more famous than I am,” he reportedly said.

The 41-year-old actor’s revelation comes months after Eniko Parrish, his wife, announced that they are expecting their second child together.

Hart had proposed to Eniko in August 2014 and subsequently tied the knot with her at a decorated wedding on August 13, 2016.

In 2017, the coupled welcomed their first child a boy with the actor throwing a baby shower for his wife at the Casamigos Beach Club, Malibu.
