The vagina is a reproductive organ in the female anatomy. It is a delicate part of the body which requires a high level of maintenance.

Although the vagina is self cleansing, if the outer parts are not maintained, the vagina tends to ooze an offensive odour.

Also, some kinds of foods affect the smell of the vagina.

Some women go as far as using harsh chemicals in form of soaps and creams just to achieve cleanliness down there but these chemicals do more harm than good to the vagina.

Proper care such as good hygiene, regular visits to the gynaecologist, practising safe sex and healthy foods help to keep your pH in check. Ignorance of these precautions can lead to an imbalance of your pH level and pave the way for infections.

To get your vagina in the best of conditions as a woman, you should take in foods that revitalize your system. What we take into the body matters a lot and here are some foods that can help keep your vijayjay in good condition.

Foods that are Rich in Probiotics
Foods rich in probiotics such as yoghurt, pickles and Kombucha tea are really great for the body as they help to boost good bacteria needed in the body, they also help to balance your pH level and ward off infections.

Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes have some sweet benefits especially for women trying to get pregnant. Its richness in Beta Carotene and Vitamin A protects and strengthens the uterine walls. It has been studied to have direct effects on fertility and reproduction as well as healthy fetal development.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids
This improves blood circulation and flow, it also increases sex drive.
Oranges, Pineapples, Green Pepper
These fruits contain Vitamin C. They revitalize the body, give stamina and flush the system. They also help to improve sexual health and boost stamina. These fruits increase the sweetness of the vagina and gives it a nice flavoured smell down there.

Dark Chocolate
Well flavoured chocolate is also a known producer of anti-oxidants. Studies show that frequent eating of chocolate increases sexual desire and better sexual function. Chocolate is rich in magnesium (this soothes the nerves), Methylxanthines (boosts libido) and Phenylalaine which is an amino acid that produces dopamine(the feel good chemical).

Fresh Fruits and Veggies
Foods that are rich in vitamins and minerals will help you manage menstrual cramps, give you a supple skin and lots of orgasms.
These essentials are not just great for the vagina but the whole body because when the vagina is happy, the whole body is happy.
