AGN supports #Endsars protest, shuns all forms of violence

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) under the leadership of Emeka Rollas has thrown her weight behind the ongoing protest against police brutality in Nigeria.

The President expressed the position of the guild via his Social media page where he wrote, ” I salute our youths for their courage, zeal, determination and boldness in demanding #ENDTOSARS and other forms of police brutality. As an Association with majority of youthful members who have been victims of police brutality, I strongly support the current #ENDSARS campaign. I encourage our members to speak up against  police brutality and oppression as it infringes on our human rights. The power to make a change lies within us and with strong determination we must achieve that  positive change for the better. I call on the relevant arms of government to come up with quick resolutions to the demands of our youths.”
In addition, Mr. Rollas also clearly stated that the Guild is not in support of any form of violence during or after the #EndSARS protest.

“Meanwhile I appeal to our youths to shun all forms of violence even in the face of provocation by anti- progressive agents. Be focused and resolute in your quest to #ENDSARS and reset the country on the path of prosperity. “A luta continua; a vitória é certa”  Ejezie Emeka Rollas  National President  Actors Guild of Nigeria.”
