Are you diabetic? Find out the effects of Bitter Melon on your health

Are you diabetic or just trying to be healthier and wondering how you can achieve wellness generally?

The effects of Bitter Melon and how it can help you.

⁣⁣⁣Bitter melon (also known as Momordica charantia, bitter gourd, wild cucumber, and more) is a plant that gets its name from its taste. It becomes more and more bitter as it ripens.⁣⁣

It’s linked to lowering blood sugar, which some studies suggest means it can aid in diabetes treatment.

This is because the bitter melon has properties that act like insulin, which helps bring glucose into the cells for energy.

The consumption of bitter melon can help your cells utilize glucose and move it to your liver, muscles, and fat.

⁣⁣The melon may also be able to help your body retain nutrients by blocking their conversion to glucose that ends up in your blood stream.⁣⁣⁣

Do you also know that weight loss is commonly recommended for the management of type 2 diabetes, for people who are overweight?? The excess fat increases the insulin resistance in the body.⁣⁣

When people with type 2 diabetes lose weight, they become less insulin resistant, and they’re able to use insulin better.

⁣⁣Advantages of losing weight when diabetic

⁣⁣Low blood pressure

It reduces blood pressure ⁣

It help reduce risk of high cholesterol ⁣

It lighten stress on the body⁣

It improve the sleep quality.⁣

How do I loose weight?

⁣⁣Make small changes.

⁣Eat amounts that meets your needs but no more

.Avoid snacking on unhealthy foods⁣⁣

When you are too hungry to wait for your next meal, eat fruit or vegetables.⁣⁣

Get physical by exercising more.

⁣⁣Increase your fiber intake

⁣⁣Eat small frequent meals than one large meal.⁣⁣

When choosing carbs, pick ones that won’t make your blood sugar spike⁣.
