MC Oluomo’s Book Not About 2023 Politics, Says Aide

February 3,2021
Share:

Musiliu ‘MC Oluomo’ Akinsanya, chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos chapter, has refuted claims that his forthcoming book is about 2023 politics.

TheCable Lifestyle had earlier reported how a picture of the cover of the forthcoming book titled ‘My Service To Humanity’ went viral on social media platforms.

The news left a trail of mixed reactions on Twitter, as some Nigerians expressed shock, while others struggled to believe that a man of such status could author a book.

But in a chat with PUNCH, Jimoh Buhari, MC Oluomo’s spokesman, confirmed that his principal would be publishing a book in March on the occasion of his birthday.

He, however, stated that the forthcoming book will be about his personal life and experiences at work and not on the 2023 politics.

Buhari added that contrary to rumours, the NURTW chairman has no desire to contest for any political position at the moment.

“The book is not yet ready but should be launched around March when MC Oluomo’s birthday will be held,” he said.

“The book is just about MC Oluomo’s experiences, his history, and his life story. There are many misconceptions about him and the book gives him the opportunity of clearing the air on many issues.

“It is certainly not about 2023 politics. There have been rumours about his intention to contest but right now, he has no such ambition.”

In May last year, MC Oluomo had clearly stated that he is not interested in holding any political office.
